International Day 2020
For Mexico Day, 16th September 2020, our class spent the morning understanding the importance of Dia De Muertos, The Day of the Dead, to communities in Mexico as well as surrounding communities in North and South America. The Day of the Dead is a three day festival which takes place over 31st October, 1st and 2nd November and celebrates those who have passed away. Each of us decorated a skull with drawings of flowers, candles, food and presents which would be typical of a mask worn during the festival. The children spent the remainder of the morning learning about Aztec artwork and creating stencils to use for printing their own Aztec symbols, a patient and methodical piece of learning. We hope that you enjoy our creations!
