Providing a caring, happy and positive environment

We work hard to ensure that the children feel good about themselves, that they feel confident and experience success in their learning and everyday school life. This is especially well developed in circle time and by trained staff in our Tranquillity zone.
We encourage children to take on responsibilities through the school and class councils, as prefects, play leaders and learning mentors. This encourages the children to value and respect others.

Parents involvement in the school is so important children’s development. We like to provide parents with lots of opportunities to meet and talk about progress in children’s learning and how we are helping them to achieve the very best start in life.We are very keen to involve parents at all levels in the school.

Our staff deliver a rich and varied curriculum that aims to make learning fun and ensures that each child reaches his or her full potential. We all know that we are all more likely to remember something if it was enjoyable and where we were fully involved and able to participate in a real experience.

We believe the children should leave the school with as high a standard as possible in Literacy and Numeracy.

The staff use a variety of teaching methods that will support the different learning styles of children. The school follows the national curriculum in teaching the children a broad and balanced range of skills and activities.

The ethos of the school is to develop a very warm and caring atmosphere where every child feels valued and nurtured.
