Parent Support Advisor
Hi! My name is Jayne and I’m the Parent Support Advisor for Lainesmead Primary School. Hover on my image to see what I really look like!
I can be found in the Family Centre just next to the main office reception. My role is to provide support to children and parents, enabling them to thrive at school and at home. In previous years I have worked at Lainesmead as a Teaching Assistant and so I have a good knowledge of the school and the fabulous opportunities it has to offer!
I mainly help with parenting issues at home that may be affecting a child's school day.
I can help with;
- Routines at bedtime, morning and planning homework
- Learning new skills
- Family support for many varied issues, for example - through divorce or moving home
- Finding out more about Lainesmead and getting the most out of school life
- Sign-posting to other agencies that may be able to offer you and your family support
- Help with writing letters, looking for employment
- Play ideas
Early Help Record and Plan
I can create an Early Help Record and Plan (EHRP) for you and your family. The Early Help Record and Plan is the common process in Swindon for supporting children, young people and families with additional needs through early identification, swift intervention and a planned, coordinated response which will provide a working document for all agencies involved with supporting your family.
Children's Centres provide family support and activities as part of their service to the community. Drove Children's Centre offers many activities and support for families with young children. Whether you are a parent to be or you have a young family there is something on offer for you. A list of Children's Centres in Swindon can be found here...
I am usually at school on Monday, Wednesdays and Friday.
